Does anyone know any info of the weight of mtb's tyres? I have done a search on here but no luck.

I am using Panaracer Fire XC 26 x 2.1 (folding) and wondered if these are light at 590 grams each? or there is better and lighter ones out there?

Cheers

  • Check out weight weenies. Some of their listings are a bit out of date, but it's generally good for a rough guide.

A mate of my bro's bought some Panaracers for his Epic of the net, didn't realised he ordered 2.4s which had absolutley no hope in hell of fitting in his skinny frame. Instead of sending them back for the right size he took a stanley knife to them and cut all the side knobs off so they'd fit.
Bloody awesome watching him trying to ride round a slightly sloppy corner...
