I have never bought winter CYCLING gloves. Always used an old pair of downhill ski gloves(gore tex) or for that matter just about any kind of glove that would keep my hands warm and / or dry as the weather prompted.0

ALtura shield gloves for me, have done 2 seasons and can highly recommend.0

Bought a pair of Trespass ski gloves for £8 yesterday. Kept my hands nice and warm this morning without liner gloves. Time will tell how they hold up, but they seem pretty well made and waterproof.
I've read various wiggle reviews and posts on this forum and decided against spending £30+ on cycle specific gloves.0 -
Yep, use a pair of Mountain Equipment close feel gloves, great and windproof!0

Just read some reviews, they sound ideal. Did you buy them on-line? If yes, where?0 -
I like my Gore Tool III's0

I have some Altura windproof ones from Evans in the sale at £9.99 (bought 1 size bigger) and wear some merino liner gloves underneath to keep me toasty. Not sure about waterproofing as I dont commute or ride in downpours but they are really warm together.Your Past is Not Your Potential...0

depending on budget but I recently got some Cannondale winter le gloves. weren't cheap but have been great in sub zero temps and seem waterproof although I haven't tested them in a proper prolonged downpour0

Pleased with my Gore Countdowns - on really cold days I supplement with silk under gloves from decathlon about £4.

Been using Craft Siberian for the last 2 years, the best winter gloves i have used. Mountain and road they are great.
Not the best in the rain but keep my hands warm well below freezing and are comfortable and not too bulky.
Gore are great as well, just finished a review on my blogMore on my blog: http://glorycycles.blogspot.com/0 -
Following a recommendation on this forum I purchased Castelli Diluvio neoprene gloves.
They work on the basis of keeping your warm when your hands start to sweat, so for the first couple of minutes they feel a bit cold. After that though, they are fantastic insulators and in my humble opinion the best looking gloves out there.
My only gripe would be that they make your hands pretty damp, so removing them mid-ride makes you cold quickly, but this is a minor niggle and would not stop me recommending them to anyone.0 -
Typical for neoprene gloves but they have their place. Best gloves you will use in the rain.
If conditions are really bad a pair of these about 2 sizes too big and a pair of wool gloves underneath is the ticket.More on my blog: http://glorycycles.blogspot.com/0 -
