Not sure if this has been discussed before (didn't find anything on a search).

But I've just installed Google Mobile on my Blackberry (available on most phones).

Not really a GPS tracker, however, if you have a phone with GPS, you can allow people to see your location. Good if you are out on a sole ride and disaster strikes. It means that friends/family can check via an iGoogle app exactly where you are.

If you phone doesn't have GPS, it will estimate your location based on phone transmitter, but this won't be very acurate.

If you are in an area without any phone signal, then at least the iGoogle app will show you where you were last known.

Big brother is watching!......:) But still pretty useful.

In a similar vein, you can get friends/family to register and add them as a 'friend' on Nokia Sportstracker and you can chose live route tracking, which shows your location, speed etc.
