Late evening recovery food

Hi,
What is recommended for a recovery / snack after a turbo session of 1 - 1 1/2 hours on an evening. I normally get off the bike about 9.30pm.
Do i need anything at this time, or is something to aid recovery needed to boost the next session. I normally do 3-4 sessions per week of varying intensities, with a ride at weekend (yes.....outdoors!!)
The reason for the question is that I went out yesterday for 2 hours but felt heavy legged, and have put this down to not fuelling / recovering properly
Any help appreaciated
Thanks

Carbs + protein. Tuna and pasta or something similar is a fairly safe bet.0

Errm,,, you're not overdoing things a bit are you? Your other life as an international lumberjack and superstar may be taking a toll on your energies. When do you rest? The older I get the faster I was0

Stone Glider....................2 kids are taking the toll on my energy, and I sit at a desk all week, so I get plenty of rest at work (don't tell the boss!). Life as an International Lumberjack sounds good, if only I'd have thought of that when doing GCSE's.
Did think about over doing it, but the hours I put in on the bike don't seem excessive. i'm riding for the fun of it and no intention on racing, although would'nt mind completing the Etape du Dales without getting off and walking.0 -
Not a criticism, just a gentle enquiry. You are the best person to judge. I was only opening another line for analysis 8)The older I get the faster I was0

Well, if lard is not for you, I recommend licking the sap like secretions of the common aphid.
Nectar....the drink of winners.0 -

If at nighttime, try SiS nocte, give you DREAMS as opposed to dreams. But great for overnight recovery.
Otherwise, just neck something like rego and then have a normal dinner within 45 minutes.0 -
Rake of ale, followed off with large doner, no salad.0

Take on an energy drink and then eat within the hourI don't sleep with my bike really!

I recommend one of the Late Night Recovery Bars. Mind you I'm not talking about the Late Night Energy Bars or the Early Morning Recovery Bars, although in a pinch a Mid Afternoon Recovery bar could be substituted. But in general it has to be the Late Night Recovery Bar in order to obtain maximum benefits.0
