Hi,
I have just bought a new bike under the promise to sell one of my other two.
I originally had a Trek 7.2FX Hybrid (2009) and a Trek 1.5 (2009)
I now have a shiny new Ridgeback World Century, steel framed and very comfy.
My original plan was to buy the Ridgeback as my everyday / winter / wet weather bike. Sell the FX and keep the 1.5 as my summer / nice weather bike.
This morning I took the Ridgeback on a 30 mile run and now I know what people talk about with a steel frame - it was great. Now i'm thinking that I will still want to ride this in nice weather as it's much comfier and not a great deal slower. If I really wanted I could swap the 28c tyres for 23c in the summer.
So should I change which bike I'm selling and sell the 1.5. Then I could keep the 7.2fx as my everyday / really bad weather bike and the ridgeback as my fun best bike that can do absolutely everything.
I don't do any racing; I just cycle for fun and to keep fit.
Any advice would be most welcome as one has to go and I'm in a quandry. I'm now thinking the FX will be more use in future over the 1.5. The 1.5 looks lovely in lime green but will I ever use it again.
Please post your thoughts to ensure I do the right thing. Oh and don't say keep all three: tried that and almost lost my new bike. One has got to go.
thanks in advance

Just from a market point of view the Trek will always command a good resale price - very popular on eBay.0
