    I'd be to knackered after a ride to do a gig, unless I cycled extra slow and was very very late.

    A few years ago on a hottest of hot summers day,me & my bandmates biked to gig we were playing at. For reasons unknown we all wore cricket whites with pullovers draped over the shoulders Nick Kershaw stylee.

    It was a 12 mile plod that meant passing several Inns, at which a pint was consumed. When we arrived the beer tent beckoned with it's 11 cask ales on draught. We started at 1 & proceeded to work our way through.

    We played at 3ish so were only semi sloshed so we got away with it. Riding back to Goole late on was ( health & safety aside) one of the best times I've spent on a bike.
