I like shimano shoes.Cheapish, nice looking and comfy.
Only downside is wearing them on a full campag bike, just doesn't feel quite right.
I currently have some RO85 and RO86 and both are very good shoes

Mavic avenir, very good fit for me, slipper like and look better than other brands I tried.

    +1

Superb shoes, the Vernice, with the blingy 'patent leather' effect are next on my list of shiney bike bits!

If your size is 44 (shimano sizing!), this may be your lucky day:

My sdis are really nice, but I prefer the fit of my Shimano's. Best advice is to try on some in your LBS, don't buy online.

Yeah, I found Specialized and Shimano very squared off in their fit but Mavic fitted my foot perfectly.

I paid nearly full price for the Mavics, could have had a pair of shimano's, I think the same in the P x link (they were carbon soled, blue and silver) reduced from £180 to £80 but despite fitting me they just didn't feel right.

From reading on here and other forums its good to say that you need to try on as many pairs of shoes as possible..but where are you all going to find the variety of most makes!!

The reason i ask is that ive been to evans in brum which had a selection of around six non i liked apart from the mavic avenir and then a local lbs in wolverhampton which also had a poor range  ...so its seems the only option is mailorder which when your spending a few hundred pounds is abit daunting...

so do you all have a secretive superstore i dont know about!!!

Sidi Genius 6.6's have been the best shoes of the great many I have tried or bought.

My lbs doesn't stock many, mainly Specialized and Mavic, but if you ask them nicely they will get hold of almost anything (they're not a Time dealer, but happily got me some Time kit recently).
