    Mrs. Hopper received a bouquet of flowers today, which seriously impressed her as they had a hand written card with them (done by me!), which proves that their delivery was pre arranged, as opposed to my usual afterthought. :wink:

    Nice touch.

    Garage flowers and a box of heroes chocolates are a one way ticket to no-lovingsville. :cry:

    M&S £20 deal, and I got a parking ticket to boot. What a morning! Nearly sold out of them too...

    Would have been cheaper to eat out!
  • Heart-shaped pendant and chain, red roses and card. The old romantic flame still flickers :D Mrs SG is cooking the AA steaks I have purchesed and we shall be drinking Cycles Gladiator with them :)

    If that don't work I'm joining the Foriegn Legion. Avant, mes enfants!

    I've bought myself a CD with, "I will wait for you" by Connie Francies on endless repeat.

    I feel it, when I sorrow most;
    'Tis better to have loved and lost;
    Than never to have loved at all."

    I got the wife to get the M&S meal deal whilst I went out for a decent ride and then cooked it (very rare)!

    So in the good books (as got flowers, chocs, cd's, bath stuff & champagne), even letting her have a lie in as she sleeps of the 2 bottles of champage (glad we didn't go the the 3rd now)!

    Home made card with a poem written by me :shock: :oops:
  • I offered her a romantic bicycle ride - even offered to hire a tandem. She wasn't interested so I've gone on my own.

    WHAT! It's the thought that counts. I offered... :P

    Oooh, what a bunch of romantics you all are :lol: ...jewellery, chocs, wine, shoes, cheese board, .....cheese board???

    Well done Hopper, Mrs H must have nearly passed out in shock when she realised that the delivery van wasn't bringing another bike-related purchase. :wink: .

    I let Mr Ands have a lie in (so I could have an early ride). But bless, he got up and pumped my tyres up for me & made me a coffee. I got back, he went out for his ride. I might get to spend some time with him at some point later today!

    Why didn't you go out together? Surely that would have been more romantic

    I got my girlfriend a CD and a belt which she has been wanted for about 3 months or so (Getting in her good books ;)) No idea what she has got me as I have'nt seen her yet. Well tbh I dont think she's got me anything yet as she wants to go into town.

    This time fellas its the girl who's unprepared! haha

    No you're not - she's dumped you. :wink:

    Although I wont see my bf today because we are both working he has sent me many presents.

    I have had huge bouqets of flowers for the last 3 days, a really sweet card which he has wrote a poem in, two boxes of chocolates, two bottles of perfume, some sexy underware, and a topeak bag that will sit on top of my pannier rack which had a stuffed toy monkey in it, more poems and some photos.

    I have given him a card and series 1-5 of shameless which is his favourite tv show. I have some more surprises for him but they ahve to wait until I see him in person

    I know he is the most amazing and caring man I have ever been with. The only down side to our relationship is it's long distance and work makes it difficult to see each other. He is an army royal armoured corps PTI (which has extra benefits :-D) and I am in the ambulance service. We more than make up for it when we see each other though.

    I bet all you sceptical guys are not so sceptical about the male valentines day - Steak and BJ day on the 14th of March!

    He's obviously feeling guilty about something.

    I don't need some commercialised day to show my wife I love her.
  • Hanging around the house waiting for the roofers to come take care of the ice damming while she goes out clothes shopping.
    Dinner tonight is apple walnut and blue cheese salad, Wagyu steaks, sesame teriyaki sweet potatoes, Mexican hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows. Flowers will be on the table

    We started dating, for the second time, on V day 34 years ago.

    Nah hes not he is always like that even when it's not valentines or christmas although its usually flowers and little things like notes and poems. When he visits me he waits up for me and has dinner ready for when I am in, even when my shift ends at some crazy time of the night does all my chores, even gives my bikes a clean and checks them over cuz he knows I am not good at maintainance. One time he even drove all the way down to London from up north even though he had work the next day to pick me up at 2am after a work party becuase he didnt want me traipsing halfway across London on my own in the middle of the night. He is fantastic.

    Indeed, almost as good as the 14th April, "bring a friend" day. :)

    Does he wear his white PTI vest with red piping on occasions ? My wife liked mine so much, I had to keep it when I left. Bad girl. :D
