Forest of Dean DH tracks

FYI
Drove down to Cannop Cycle Centre, in the Forest of Dean, last weekend and was pleased to see that the DH tracks there have been marked with name posts - making them much easier to find. Don't know if they've finished yet as there's a couple of solid ones further up the hill which haven't been marked. Map.

Cool. good find... been looking for the map for ages
the Pink Altura route has no markers yet... and theres another route below (south of the pink line on the map... the other side of the clearing) that i cant find anywear....www.settingascene.com - MTBing in Wilts and the southwest, join up for info and ride details.0 -
anyone know what's happened to the FODCA red route, went there today and there were tree felling operations around the start/finish area,0
-
yea...
They are tree felling haha...
The rest of the route is still there, and theres a make shift trail through the fallen trees
so its still rideable, but just nowhere near as fun as it was...www.settingascene.com - MTBing in Wilts and the southwest, join up for info and ride details.0 -

I hve no idea where the 'Pink Altura' route is. There are two routes just south of the clearing; Worcester Lodge Downhill and the Old Racetrack - both of which are excellent.0 -
any ideas where the startes are of them? and if they are signposted as well (like the others) ?www.settingascene.com - MTBing in Wilts and the southwest, join up for info and ride details.0

Neither are signposted, but both start behind Worcester Lodge (+51° 48' 10.09", -2° 35' 11.89"). The Old Racetrack has at least two variations, but ends just behind Pygmy Pinetum. The Worcester Lodge Downhill comes out nearer the cycle centre. Both are really solid rides.
Where is the 'Pink Altura' track you mentioned?0 -
on the map (posted above) its the southern most pink line....
starts at the forest cross roads back near where the corkscrew starts.www.settingascene.com - MTBing in Wilts and the southwest, join up for info and ride details.0 -
