Spotted these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Bont_ ... 360048797/ and am severely tempted.

Anyone know how they size up? and how the mouldable insole works? guess it is just heat...?

Cheers

I have no experience of Bont cycling shoes but have two pairs of speed skates by them and I know the materials / construction is similar. Sizing is critical - there is very little 'give' in the materials - definitely try before you buy. In terms of heat-moulding, simply stick the whole shoe in the oven for about 20 minutes, strap them to your feet and tighten the straps and leave them to cool - if you get a hard spot, you can work it with a hair-dryer and screwdriver handle or simply stick em back in the oven. The only downside is ventilation - there is very little.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Thanks for that, ventilation I like, they sounded great up until then, but I do get hot when I ride so may need to check a pair out in the flesh.
