I've just changed pads at both front and rear which is a pretty simple operation, the problem is that I can't get the little circlips to stay on the end of the pad retaining screws!! Is this a problem? Am I risking life and limb by throwing caution to the wind and leaving them off?

well they are there to stop the pins unscrewing and falling out.

you should be able to find some in a car accessory shop.

Mine got binned on the first pad change and a drop of thread lock added instead.

I think it's the only weakness with the Oros. Try getting them off if you need to change pads on the trail with cold wet fingers !!
  • they dont come out, just tighten them up just enough you will be fine

Yep, they are rubbish. Got binned first time I had to change pads on the trail. The retaining bolt doesn't seem to loosen so they are superfluous.
