Calling NapD...

I'll see your QuadPower (TM) and raise you UltraQuadPower (TM) !
Cycling home this evening I decided to do a bit of out-of-the-saddle accelerating away from a set of lights, when all of a sudden there was a crack and things went a bit weird at the back end of my bike (wheel jams temporarily, then releases a bit with several 'poing, poing, poing' noises). I jumped off the bike and scuttled to the side of the road and examined the bike, only to find the rear derailleur lodged in the back wheel.
Clearly it was the immense power of my thighs that caused this breakage and, since I haven't heard of you shattering a rear derailleur, I can only conclude that I possess something even more astounding than your so-called QuadPower (TM), which I have decided to call UltraQuadPower (TM). In your face!
I would post photos (of the rear derailleur, not my quads...) but my camera's battery has died. Maybe later.

Not because you can't adjust the limit screws on your mech properly? :twisted:Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

You'll make Canceralla cry."I hold it true, what'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost;
Than never to have loved at all."

I once demolished a bike that I'd owned for less than 10 minutes. Dérailleur into the wheel and steel frame twisted beyond (affordable*) repair. That was quad power versus a lorry on a Sheffield hill. And it turned out that the lorry wasn't trying to kill me after all! But he still got my bike through the indirect means of quad power. No, it's too, too powerful to be unleashed.

Jesus, how long was that carbon bike left in the rain for ? Must've been at least half an hour for it to have that damage.0 -
Apparently NASA reported a momentary glitch in the time continuum that day or the planet stopped rotating for a while, I forget which.I ache, therefore I am.0

I once snapped a sprocket. I dread to think what 12 watts more would have done..."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
