Good for Endura to be out there - even if they seem to be struggling a little...

Martin's putting out daily updates on his website, you get quite a personal view of each stage.
  • Stage 4 stopped after 114km due to very poor conditions. Here's hoping the weather wont spoil tomorrow's showdown.

feck my titties off these guys are lots harder than i could imagine. i did 65kms today in +2/3 C of a planned 80 kms but I pussied out.

not bad boys. thanks for the France 2/3 highlights, please keep em coming. love the southern accent and good ol' Eric Caritoux

Now, if only they could drag out a real oldie like Armand de las Cuevas for some commentary :-)

El Fares adjudged the stage winner form the leading break - good to see him continuing his winning ways of last season.
  • Contador is the Greatest
  • Two things, how come El Fares was the winner? Because he formed the break?

And also, Stephen Roche speaks French like he speaks English, LEGEND!
  • Any live coverage of today's stage anywhere on the net?
  • Unfortunately not.

It is over now...Valverde got 2nd on the stage which gave him the overall.

1 Francesco Masciarelli (Ita) Acqua E Sapone
2 Alejandro Valverde (Spa) Caisse d'Epargne

    5 Johnny Hoogerland (Ned) Vacansoleil
    6 Maxim Iglinskiy (Kaz) Astana

Quite a lot of dodgy names, starting with these 2.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Young "Mullet" Masciarelli has a dodgy past?

  • I wish they had televised the climb. I must ride it someday...check out the view! Not sure why Martin wasn't up there either.

  • Toulon is a real hole if I've ever soon one - on the down since the 70s perhaps but Mt Faron gives a great view over the area.

Even in this pic you can see the Ile de Porquerolles etc. My skipper keeps the boat at the K-yachting yard down the peninsula.

There is a sportive in the region in early June, will post the name when I recall it.

It's one way and I don't think you can take the same road in the same way as the race.
