It could be worth a punt for the carbon seat post and the forks. I would happily pay £20 for those two :)

Quality, imagine the look on his face as he tried to weld it and teh crack just got bigger and bigger

I bet he tried to weld it with a £50 welder bought from Aldi and a couple of night classes experience at his local college. After all it can't be THAT difficult to weld aluminium, it's softer than mild steel so it must be ok. Don't even have to scrub it back to bare metal even.

It does make you wonder if there's a D-Lock still attached to some railings somewhere...

Curious isn't it? Not normally a place for a crack, the frame is usually under compression there.

I wouldn't. Given his attitude to safety with regards to the frame there's no telling what hell those forks have been through.

Crash damage - bars swing round and hit the top tube - so no surprises. Just confirms the general advise that aluminium alloy frames are irrepairable. Seller does sound as though he's a bit of a bodger as he's wrecked the BB too.

To be fair he's described it as it and it's buyer beware on Ebay. The real shame will come from the bodger who buys it, fills it up with car filler, a bit of paint a new decal and slaps it back on Ebay for £300 :(

You'd have to be a nutter to buy that; the damage picture is hilarious... at least he's honest I guess.
