My tickets arrived in the post the other day for the Aberdeen gig. I just have to stay sober for the gig after Robbie Keane scores a hat-trick @ Ibrox earlier in the day 8) (The downside of lunchtime KO's)
I went to see Hugh Cornwall at Buxton Opera House about 18 months, I'd say. Hope he has sorted out his sound system. The support, some scouse Punk/Ska type band sounded ok. Cornwall came on, and it was just a wall of noise. Probably not helped by the acoustics of an Opera House (in the stalls as well), or the fact he stated he was going to play his complete new album in it's entirety. If it had said on the tour adverts, his scenario - I would not have bothered. I thought he had gone more acoustic actually/hoped it would be more of a mix of new stuff/Stranglers back catalogue...I left after the 3rd track, after seeing about another 10 people leave beforehand and thinking people would not point at me as being "nesh"!?
