I have not owned a pair of Santini bib's before and I am about to buy some. I have found and observed the size charts for these and compared them to my most recent and spot on sized Nalini's.
Still I just wondered if normally Santini's sizing comes up a bit big or small?
Cheers

The last jersey I bought by Nalini made me wonder if all Italians were 4 foot tall.
Good stuff, but it took a XX to even come close to fitting me. And that was before I got fat.
So check the chest sizes if you can.

had loads of Santini bibs and generally a come up a bit small as you'd expect being Italian.
If your thinking of the Slice bibshorts (I think it's them) they were described as a "pro-cut" when I bought a pair approx 4 years ago. They are SHORT in almost a Little Britain Daffyd kind of way so beware - unless you like that kind of look !

Santini's sizes come up on the small side, as do Nalini and most other Italian manufacturers. If you already have Nalini's that fit well, I'd get the same size in Santini.

  • I just got some Nalini bib shorts in size 6. I'm at 32-34 inch waist and to be honest I could've got in a size 5 really easily. So I'd say Nalini sizings were spot on
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!

  • I have both Nalini & Santini bibs - the sizing appears the same to me.

+1. Remember the key measurement for bibshorts from these manafacturers is your HEIGHT / LEG LENGTH not you waist size. Mick at Prendas explained that the waist area is incredibly stretchy and a 33" waist could fit in the M, L or XL bibs. However, these sizes have vastly different leg lengths. I have Santini bibs in both L and XL, and there is no noticable different in waist fit, but the leg length of the size L pair is much better for my leg length.
