Shimano rear derailleurs

As my 105 rear mech is coming to the end of its natural life (crashes have helped it on its way considerably) I'm after a new one. If I go for Ultegra or dura-ace will there be a tangible benefit to shifting performance and longevity? Or am I just looking at weight loss? I'm not massively up on the mechanical differences so would appreciate any insights.

Can't speak for Dura Ace but to me there is no tangible difference between 105 and Ultegra. It may be just that I'm not sensitive enough to notice it but I wouldn't say it justifies the extra cost.0

Cheers, that's what I wanted to hear really. Think I'll save myself the tenner extra ultegra costs on chainreaction and save it towards the next one!Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0
