I apologise if this has been asked a million times but which is better. I am looking at getting a commuter leisure road bike. One had 105s the other had SRAMs. I much preferred the feel of the SRAMs (in the shop) but the bike cost £150 more which is slightly over budget. Are they any better and will I be able to justify the extra cash?!

Whichever feels best for you - it's a very subjective point
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

its a well accepted fact that sram is far far far superior to all other makes.
  • I think you might get a better response if you clarified what SRAM groupset the bike in question has. As I understand it, the s350 is just a chainset. If the other groupset components are all SRAM Rival, then previous threads on here seem to favour the view that the extra £150 would be money well spent.

  • it is the rival. Thanks for the advice!!
  • I have the S350, and TBH im glad I didnt swap it out for a carbon crankset, runs very smooth and its very stiff.

More inpressed than I thought I would be.
