Just been told that this years "Gold Rush" event, to raise funds for the Air Ambulance service, is in Coed y Brenin on the Tarw.
Having busted my femur training for this event in 08, is the Tarw any better than it was back then, or still a bit "balsy" at the end?

Choice of Duathlon in Llanrwst same weekend, so whatever, I take a beating!!!

  • I did it in '08, and if it's anything like it'll use half the Tarw again, and some other sections in reverse, to make the climbs more technical, and finish up with bits of the old jump course (not any gnarly jumps, just some big berms and some small sections you acn get airbourne on). Was a good event.
As far as I know the Tarw trail overall hasn't changed much if any in recent years.
