whats your opinion on small bar ends

back in the day bar ends were alll the craze the bigger the better if you did not look like a deformed bull you were nobody....anyway was considering getting a small set of richey wcs whats peoples opinions or are they just out of date

Personal preference really, you don't see any of those ski-style barends anymore, only on very cheap MTBs )apollo etc
Small ones are fine, un less you have huge hands.
Fashinable is niether here nor there0 -
I like the little stubby ones, and the extra hand position they give, especially on longer rides, and I like the extra leverage up hills.
I wouldn't voluntarily ride without them.

I like the way they extend either side of the bar so you can get a good grip on the climbs

Haha, only kidding - I actually had a wee go of someone's bike who used those & found them rather comfy... still look a bit like a mouldy gherkin though
On the subject of small bar ends, the Tune ones are lovely & would look pretty cool on any respectable xc rig - can't vouch for comfort though!
