Alivio Rear mech C-Clip

Where are my stabilisers?

I've gone and lost the C-Clip off of a used Alivio rear mech I'm trying to install...Do I need it? :oops:

I'm thinking probably coz it's there for a reason, if so can you get replacements easily?

Um.. Well when I got it, it was on the back holding the screw/spring in place.. and I went and took it off because I don't know what i'm doing

Now to make it worse, I've lost it! I'll get some pics

IIRC it holds the mech body onto the mounting bolt. You might get away without using it until you take the mech off one day and the spring goes one way and the rest of the mech another.
