I have been offerd a Colnago Cx-1 frame and fork inc head set for £800. It is in good condition, is this a fair price second hand?

    How old is it?

Does the guy still have his hands?

I think it is early 2009, it has been raced on last season, do you think it could have been stressed at all? i think that model was launched in late 2008, so the oldest it could be is a year and a half.

    That's a lot of frame for £800.
Unless it show's signs of damage I'd bite his hands off!

Unless it's been crashed (and there is that possibilty if it's been raced), then it's a good price. Racing on it wouldn't have caused it any undue stress.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

FWIW Colnagos are designed to be raced - they don't go for ultralight builds. Give the frame a very close visual inspection - it's highly unlikely that any impact damage wouldn't be evidence by any cracks or scuffs. £800 is a good price.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
