Total Cycling - good prices and have bought from them about 8-9 times, but when I did have a problem one time, the customer service was slow and they needed constant reminding (in fact, they asked me if I could send them a reminder email so they didn't forget)

Shiny Bikes - good prices, great customer service (only had to speak to them to query a product)

Cyclestore - always had great service from them - never had to go to them for after-sales so can't comment on that aspect.

Merlin - very competitive prices, no experience of after-sales tho

Sigma - not cheap and recent customer service has not been great when there was a problem. However, not bad, all things considered.

Pro Bike Kit - always been good altho a couple of times have ordered things and then been told not in stock
  • Chain reaction cycles are good also.

    As above plus Parker International
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • I find Probikekit very good. They will deliver to work (wife does not know what I have bought!! ) Prices competitive - better than Wiggle/CRC & delivery excellent.
  • +1 for Merlin, Wiggle.

    Also Edinburgh Cycle Co-op.
  • gbcycles and bikeplus - online arm of very good LBS. gbcycles is the road bike section, bike plus for mountain & touring.

It's a shame the online store lets down the fantastic shops.

I would certainly recommend All terrain Cycles from experience.
  • SJS Cycles?

They do charge postage so not competitive if buying a couple of small, cheap things. But seem to have good stock of lots of good quality and useful bits and pieces. They also seem nice and friendly to deal with.
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

Merlin is my usual choice if i'm looking for high end stuff. For cheap stuff wiggle is ok.

I've never (touch wood) had a bad experience from any.

Never had a quibble with the staff at Ribble.

Sweets from Wiggle made me giggle

    A-OK with PBK

Service was sterlin' when I bought from Merlin.

Too many people with an axe to grind, to risk buying anything from that Dave Hinde.
  • 'Fats Birds dont fly' have always been good but not everyone has found them so. Great shop with great bike range if you ever get the chance.
    Rose Pro DX Cross 3000
    GT Edge Ti
    Ribble Audax
