Commencal Meta 5.5 - Kona Cinder Cone

I've had these in my sig for a while but a few recent upgrades has made me decide to put them in this section. I also have a road bike that's in my sig but I'm not including it in this because, let's face it, who cares!
First up is my 2009 Commencal Meta 5.5 UK. I bought this as the Kona was getting a bit out of its depth and I wanted something a bit burlier. I'm amazed at what this bike can do, from local XC rides to a full on trip to the Alps it's never let me down. I've heard a lot about frames cracking but hopefully it won't affect me!! I'm pretty happy with the spec as it is so the only upgrades planned are XT shifters and cassette and perhaps some XTR pedals. I also put DMR V12 Mags on it when I'm doing more tech stuff.

My other bike is an 08 Kona Cinder Cone. This was the bike I really started riding properly on and it was a great bike to learn on. It's now used for occasional XC Rides, towpath blasts and has recently even seen some trail centre action at Gisburn when the Commencal was getting it's annual overhaul. It's pretty heavily modded, and the only real upgrades I can see me doing now are the seatpost which needs replacing and a set of light XC wheels, the current set wiegh about a ton! Plus, anything that gets upgraded on the Commencal tends to filter down to this.
