Looking to buy a Catlike Whisper but unfortunately there aren't any dealers in my area that sell them. I've measured my bonce and I'm at the top end of the medium, just smaller (by a couple of millimetres) than the minimum for the size large. Currently I'm a medium in an S-Works 2D helmet, and can get a cap on comfortably underneath in this cold weather.

My question is thus:

Are they a small fitting? Do you think I'd get away with a medium? I was going to order one and try it on, if it's no good then it'll go back (cheaper than paying for petrol driving to a Catlike dealer). What i don't want to do is order a medium, find it's just a little too tight, send it back, get a large to try on, find it's no good and send that back too. I'd rather just order the correct size and send one back if it's no good

Does that make sense????

Hey-ho, where's me wine!

    They come up quite small

    Too bulky

Feel like I'm wearing a wooly hat in the summer when I wear mine.

The old version was loads better.

Really?? I didn't think they looked that big.

Might just be worth trying the large then if they come up small.

I had the old Catlike Whisper before the "Plus" came out. The old Catlike Whisper was the best helmet I'd ever used. Crashed it. Bought a Catlike Whisper Plus as a replacement.

They added loads more polystyrene and changed the fit. So now as soon as a warm day comes along it feels like a wooly hat, which the old one didn't.

  • I think I need to find somewhere that sells them and try one on otherwise this might get expensive!

To be honest I'd go with a totally different helmet.

I've just ordered a Spesh 2D helmet, tried a medium on today and fits loads better than my medium Whisper Plus. The spesh is also loads lighter.

The Catlike Whisper Plus weighs a tonne and they are way too bulky for such an expensive helmet.
