Purchased end of last year from Paul's Cycles. Amazing to ride, Love it!

The absolute perfect Big Hit machine, climbs like and Angel (115mm setting) and descends like a Demon (160mm setting) - tough as old boots!!

  • what size frame is that? and what size are you?

I'm quite tempted by one of these but they've only got Large left. I'm right on the border of medium/ large on most other bikes

Im *just under* 6' by about 1cm, I ride a medium. They do come up large. I couldnt go any bigger than that.
  • Loving it :D nice grips too, superstar are spot on
  • Righto, new stem fitted (swapped out 90mm for 50mm) makes a lot more sense and has livened the front end up. I am still feeling shite, but took it around the block to check it out, couldn't manage anymore. Made no sense why GT put such a long stem on that ruined handling.

Hei my friend, congrats about your GT Saction 1 - 2008, I am also a happy owner of one, and also I put some time ago a new Thomson Elite 50mm, is amazing the difference in the handling of the bike eh??? It Is interesting how right were the Guys form MBUK when they tested back in 2008!! They talk very good about the bike except this two things, long stem and narrow handlebar. So they changed.

You change also the handlebar, isn't it, i order a new one Sunline V1 740mm, because my size, 1,86cm tall- 86kg i need something more big, you know. And i like jumping, je je...

Also a change for the moment for flats, Tioga MX, however I still have a new pair of Acid 1 for the summer or more trail days.

What is gonna be your next upgrading?? In my case i gonna set some new Hope Mone disc saw 203-180 in red next summer.

Soon i gonna change also the tyres, the kenda are good, but grip in roots are nor good enough so, next one Maxxis High roller super tacky infront in 2.35, i don't know yet in the back, may be kenda navegal stick-2 but in 2.1, for less rolling ressistance.

And i think that after that is nice and perfect for my riding style.

Check my blog if your like, is in Spanish but you can see some pictures.

Cool, nice to see another happy owner :)

Yep, the stem livened up the front really nicely, a lot more natural to run a shorter stem, and yes, the bars were XC width. SO swapped out to come 710mm risers which are spot on.... bought some ODI Intense lock ons and am waiting for those to turn up in the post. The supesrtar grips were really nice just to small for my hands.

Changing the rear mech to Saint (for increased durability) and putting some Kenda SMall Block 8s on for the drier trails!

The Nevegals are good, but overkill for dry riding (I think anyway)
