DT Swiss 4.1

Any advice on these rims ? Also, are these clinchers or tubeless ? One would imagine this is a very easy to answer question but it turns out, none of the retailers selling it put this information on their website and I can't even find the rims on the DT Swiss website...

Yes they are clinchers, even tubeless are still clinchers as mountain bikes don't use tubulars, other than that it's personal preferance personaly i prefer Mavic rims but DT swiss are decent enough, i think thety are comparable to Mavic XC717. Hope this helps.
