    Why do people pass the weights of their bikes in an unusable state?

    My bike weighs 14.5lbs (without saddle)

    Why?

    It's the way suppliers of complete bikes do it because they don't come with pedals so it's understandable...

    +1 NapD have never worked that one out !
    All can think is their trying to show their bike off lighter by removing them !

    My bike is 17lbs with pedals, cages....everything.........thats what I need to ride it and thats the weight I have to get up the hill!?
