Hi Guys,
bit of a noob. my question, does this fork have a lockout function?

I am looking at getting a 2010 orange crush and this is the fork that it is equipt with.

In the past all my other forks have had lockout either remote or on the fork itself. I have never owned an air fork or a fox. I stand up alot on uphill climbs and am worried that I will lose power if I have no lockout on the fork.
I will be test riding the bike before I buy but not in the places where I will be riding it.
Thanks in advance

no it doesn't.
You'd want a RL for lockout or RLC which adds variable compression damping0 -
Ok thanks for that. leads me to my next question, am I likley to find the lack of lockout a problem on uphill sections?0

Not if you learn to pedal a bit smoother. I usually don't bother putting mine on as i prefer the traction for technical climbs. I only every use it on the road, and rarely at that.0

personally i tend not to lock my fork out on climbs, you just have to learn to pedal better, though i do wind the compression damping on a little sometimes if the surface is pretty smooth.0

trail centres mainly and a bit of road during the week for fitness.
Maybe its me, maybe I get out of the sadle too much when I am faced with a bit of a hill? I take it that this is not the norm?0 -
you may not need lock-out whatever your riding style but...
its better to have it than not have it , giving YOU the choice.
and it will make steep uphills more tiring to climb without it , especially at 140mm travel.0 -

Maybe....I'm on my 2nd full sus (Both Anthems) 1st one with F100rl's, I maybe locked out about 3-4 times..all on road climbs..never locked the back end out on the 1st bike and I rarely use the pro-pedal function on the rear of my current one, much prefer to sit a climb, just edge onto the nose of the seat and keep some weight over the back end so it doesn't spin/slip out. But with 5.5in up front your front end is still gonna be up fairly highly...I would (if you can), see if you can borrow a bike with the same travel and see how you are with it.0
