    Downtube shifters.

    Saddle looks too high.

Not parked properly. Front wheel pointing out so it could roll and fall over.

Badly in need of a re-spray.
  • Roger,

You haven't shaved???? And your hair is really curly?

    Is that the answer?

    Technically:
It's not that dark, there is plenty of light reflecting off the top of the bed and highlights on the bike itself. Nothing in the picture is moving, so no need for a high shutter speed. It's a fairly normal angle shot, so it's not being taken by some tiny aperture telephoto lens.
Yet it's as noisy as the Isle of Wight festival.
Either the ISO is way too high or the sensor is tiny and more than just a little crap.

    Artistically:
It's badly lit, the bright light being on the bed, not the bike. There is nothing to draw the eye in, no rule-of-thirds, no leading lines. What appears to be the intended focal point is smack in the middle of the frame. At least some of the front wheel shows the red tubing is indeed a bike, but a lower angle shot taking in more of the bottom of the bike, a crank arm, the top of the chainrings, would have shown that better. It's not all bad, the bike isn't at right angles to the camera, but it's still not going to win any awards.

Oh, and the bike has downtube shifters.

What's wrong with Down Tube Shifters (£40 from Ribble plus some cheap brake levers) as opposed to STIs (£100+ from Ribble)?

    They're nice kecks, BTW

It's just a hill. Get over it.
  • Your front and rear reflectors are not visible?

Nothing wrong with them per say. The bike I dragged out of the shed to commute to work on first had them, as did the bikes of my teenage years and they work fine. A few months later I got a new bike, my first taste of Ergo's, and there is no way I would go back to downtube shifters again.

The bike hasnt got a rear rack? That would have added at least 20% more drying space..
