Inner tubes

Quick question,
Buying some tyres from CRC and they have a deal on inner tubes, the 42mm valve length are sold out. Can i use the 51mm LV variant on normal 25-28mm semi aero wheels?

    Should be OK, they'd only stick out another 9mm which isn't much.

    Might even be easier to get a pump on as some pump heads are a bit tricky.

    Could you stand all that extra weight on your bike though :wink:

    Yeah good point about the weight i hadn't thought of that, could i hacksaw the excess off? :wink:

    No! But fill the tyres with balloon gas instead. That should compensate for the extra weight of the longer valves.
