trends in frame aesthetics?

Is it just me or has there been a recent shift in many manufacturer's top carbon frames away from curvy, sculpted looks towards much more classical looking straight tubes and sharp angles? It seems that quite a few of the top European manufacturers now have curvy frames for their mid-range offerings but go for the straight-tubed look on their top-end models, e.g. De Rosa and Bianchi.
