Hi. I need some waterproof shorts asap as im getting fed up with getting a wet arse and feeling really uncomfortable when out in the peaks.

Cant decide out of the above 2 mentioned shorts. Will be worn over bib tights in the winter and just padded boxers in the summer. Will need to stand up to all the mud/grit etc that the peaks can throw at them.

Anybody got either of the above and can comment on what to get and how waterproof they actually are.

Thanks

Ian

I would recommend a mudguard. Sorry I haves no experience of waterproof shorts.

The Attacks are good, and so far completely waterproof. They also shed mud well, so they stay cleaner. I've only ridden in mine maybe 10 times or so but no issues so far. They don't quite act like regular shorts, they're a tiny bit stiffer and noisier, but still they're basically just shorts that happen to be waterproof.

I find the Superlites good, primarily using them as an overshort. As the name suggests they are very light.
  • I have a pair of the Attack 3/4's and have been relly impressed with them. They have kept me dry in pouring rain, keep the wind chill off and are comfy to boot. Due to the material they do swish when you ride but are excellent quality.
Wow great ship man. Looks like a fish, flies like a fish, steers like a cow.

I ride in the peaks also and use the Attack 3/4s. No problems, do the job. Great kecks.

I also look cooler than the king of siam in mine.

Exactly this... also, the material is pretty tough when you fall off on tarmac ( ). I do have a small tear in mine due to this, but gaffa tape on the inside fixed that!

(I wear mine for the commute to work, and on the hills at the weekends, they've been amazing, although its getting to the point where I need to re-proof mine, but I have had them a while now!)
