Anyone own one of these and used none innovation cartridges. I was looking at these http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/co2-cartridges-16gm/mosa-16gm-threaded-co2-box-of-10/prod_240.html and wondering if I should risk using them even though it says to only use innovation ones. Sounds like a con to buy their branded more expensive cartridges, how different can they be?

  • They should do the job! It will probably " invalidate the warantee" or something but its just to make sure you keep buying their over priced product.
  • Don't forget its plus shipping plus VAT on that site though...

I use the Innovations valve (which I think is pretty nifty) and, like Jonny_road, would be interested what other refill options there are. Mind you, about 50p a pop for a refill isn't the worst of my bike accessory price concerns.

I like the bit on the website about a cartridge holder "Dispose of after use - not dishwasher proof". Yeah, top concern that for me, get home from cycling, had an annoying puncture, now where's that cartidge holder so that I can pop it in the dishwasher  Think I will keep the 29p in my pocket for now (that's more than 1/2 a carridge saved already...)

Dont know which innovations one I own but it takes threaded cartridges like those and I buy them from there in the 12g size.

I find a 12g does one tyre to full pressure with enough spare to do another tyre to maybwe 30-40 psi I guess, not enough obviously.

But I dont want the 16g ones cos if I use one and have some left in itIm only going to chuck it away when I get home anyway and put a new one in my pack. Id do the same with a 16g.
  • ive been using these for a few years and they have been fine. air is air at the end of the day and why pay more. i go in with a few mates and buy a big box.
