I've fitted a hydraulic set of brakes to the missus 05 kona shred, the way it needs to be routed is through an open cable guide, this is the best pic I've got of it (don't worry, the hose has since been shortened!)
At the moment it won't stay in so it's held in with zip ties, I'm sure theres some plastic clip type thing that will slot in to hold it but I don't know what it's called, it's not the plastic thing this guys shows in his thread as that's a different guide.

It's just an open U shape.
Any ideas? Zip ties look pants

cant you fit the zip ties through the mounts?
and not around the tubes.
otherwise are you thinking of the Hose C or U clips?

AH HA! I need some of those for my front brake! My frame came with them but I have never had them on my fork. Thanks guys.

No, you cant fit zipties through them it's just a slotted guide, it's a C section but it lets a full size cable/hoze pass through it, unlike the two next to it that have a cover over them to allow a stop so the inner cable passes through, I'll try and get a better picture

imagine this routing but the outer cable can pass all the way through, there is no stop on the end of the guide0 -
Ah, this might be it, google image has helped me find it, i think

Unless I'm being thick why didn't you just route the brake hose through the open mounts, it's what they are there for. Did you not want to disassemble the brake hoses? If you shortened the rear one then you must have :?:It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -

Pretty sure Paul 8v means that they are stops for cables, not hydraulic hoses... so the hoses won't fit through. Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -

It's because theyre open so if you feed the cable through it just pops out and i don't want to ziptie it on as it looks a bodge
