rotor rs4x cranks????

a mate of mine has just built a cove handjob, but is looking for a rotor rs4x crankset as he lost the lower part of his left leg in a bike accident 4 years ago and has been in discussions with other disabled riders and this is really supposed to help with eliminating the dead spot at 12 o clock when stood up and pedalling. if any one has one or knows of any way of dealing with this problem, any help or advice will be gratefully recieved!! many thanks, si.
