I am currently in need of a cableset, and I have heard quite a lot of good things about Jagwire. I was wondering is £25 a good price to pay for a complete cableset? And then the biggest question, they are needed for my black Planet X SL, I am putting a white saddle and white bar tape on it, and I was contemplating putting white Jagwires on it, I have a feeling that it may look stupid, but I am unsure. So can anybody advise me on whether I should go for white or black cableset??

I'm thinking of the same thing... Different bike, though.

  • I just ordered a white set off ebay, most places seem to have sold out!! But, I am now regretting it, as I just saw this in the classifieds:

Is it just me, or does that not look right!!

It will be fine when you have the saddle and bar tape to match it...

The white cables look fine, it's the lack of front caliper that's wrong

White bar tape & saddle would certainly help to set it all off.

Just seen these in a lovely orange I need. Are they for Campag or just Shimano, or are the diy kits universal?
  • They are compatible with Sram, Shimano and Campagnolo.
  • I've got the red set on my Cinelli. Looks really nice, matches the bar tape, tyres and the Cinelli graphics on the frame. Think white will look good with matching saddle and tape.

I have done just that on my black Planet-X white Fizik Arione saddle, white bar tape, and a white jagwire cable set off eBay for 25 quid (which works well, though the ferrules can be a little annoying as mine dont fit tightly in my brake adjusters). Overall it looks very good, especially with the white tyres on my training wheels (yet to get some Ivory Pro Race 3's for my race wheels). I dont have a picture though as I only did it last friday and then raced on it (and won  )

Can't see anywhere to buy the 'maxxis orange' colour, anyone know of a reseller?
