The guy I was supposed to be riding with this weekend pulled out.
Whinlatter Altura Trail is shut.
Llandegla is open, but its only the red. The fun stuff is closed.
Gisburn is a bit of a mess by all accounts. Is a ride worth it?
I know its trail building tomorrow, but I haven't ridden for sooo long i'm starting to get pissed off!

You must be less than 30 mins from the edge of the big hills!0

hense the P7 build!!
Anyways, i'm decided now.
Gonna take a drive down to Llandegla.
It means I can open the tap a bit in the Coupe, ride full red route (maybe twice) as i've only ridden the black there and then have a play on the skills area0 -
If you're close enough to ride gisburn you're close enough to ride in the dales...
Buy this...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yorkshire-Dales ... 814&sr=8-7
Loads of great routes in there, theres more to mtb than bloody trail centres....0 -

Also where is the skills area at llandegla?0 -
Gisburn hasn't handled the weather too well by all accounts.
Llandegla play area is by the carpark!0 -
the small car park next the the visitors centre on the larger one up the hill? Bizzare i've been a few times and never noticed it :oops:0
-
You know the very 1st bit up from the cafe? Yoou sorta go under/behind the top car park... its there on your left
Well thats the pump track anyways.
Not sure if the freeride area has been finished yet though!0 -
Llandegla is closed again due to weather - well it says the car park, so i persume trails as well. Take a look at hyperlink below:

I've just been up to Whinlatter this morning. Two loops of the Blue route and half of the South loop, job done. Can't see it being too long until the full Red route is open.0 -

offered to take him out on some local "leisure" rides for fun / fitness as i live relatively close-by , but he didnt want to know , to busy being a trail centre warrior i guess.

ah , but my saints have already been ordered.
just messin with ya.
i know boosting around on the streets isnt everyones cup of tea.
but its better than nothing if you cant get to a trail centre every time you wanna ride.
and there is off-road stuff closer to home if you know where to look0 -
hehe... well I do ride to work! and hit the DJ's in Lytham now and then
Just prefer the countryside0 -

Ben, Gisburn's not too bad, only one section at the top that's not rideable at the moment. Actually today it may have all been rideable, the ground's frozen, I don't think it got above freezing all day to day. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
