I've been thinking of getting a road bike for some time and have finally found a bike for the right price that i like, a Cannondale Caad9 tiagra 2009 in Liquigas colors. When i asked the Salesman ( i havent seen this fella before so he might be new) in the shop about the Warranty on it he said it only had a years warranty surely this cant be right does anyone know?
Also does anyone have any personal views on the bike Good or Bad.

As regards opinions of the bike, the consensus is that the CAAD 9 is a bit special:

I think there is a lifetime warranty on the frame (for the original owner) but the C'dale website appears to be in the process of update & thus broken.

Good choice..I have the CAAD9 Tiagra in the black and silver.
Looked in my owners manual...warranty on the frame is lifetime for the first owner and components are for 1 year from purchase.
You get a little card to register your specific bike online.
As for the bike, never had a problem with it. All the tiagra bits have been 100% reliable.
Finish is great, ride is very stable and well balanced, brakes are as powerful as my MTB.
Only thing I would say are the WHR500 wheels on the Tiagra model are a tad heavy. They are very reliable wheels and are as true as when I got them but I was tempted into getting a lighter set, knocking nearly 500g off the bike weight. I am using the WHR500s for Winter and the new ones for Summer.
Tiagra is a good starting point and once things begin to wear out when you get the cycling bug , you can of course put higher spec parts on.
