Is it still possable to by new MTB's with gripshift changers. I have an old 98 Rockhopper that I am thinking of changing that has the old gripshft system on and have had no problems with it. I find that the lever chagers difficult, due to my thumbs getting stiffer. (age i expect). Any ideas?

yep 9 speed / 8 speed compatible. ask your lbs is they have any old models kicking about. you will get them cheap as they are not currently in fashionCotic Soul rider.0

You'll struggle to find a bike that's specced with them, but you can certainly buy them from an SRAM dealer. They're still reasonably popular with XC racers.0
