Bargain Trek Fuel EX6.5 - Advice needed

Hi All
I've a chance of buying a Trek Fuel EX6.5 (2009) through the cycle to work scheme for only £899.
Now I've no experience with riding a Trek, nevermind that this will be my first Full Suspension machine. I did have my eye on the Giant Anthem X4 (my shop will allow me to put extra to it), but this seemed a bargain. Riding the cross country routes around Kielder, I wanted something that would help me keep going all day and have a great deal of fun in the process (as well as the 'ahem' commute to work of course).
Does anybody have any experience with the Trek? I would be really keen to hear thoughts and opinions.
Thanks in advance
Jamie

My wife has the 5.5 from 2009 and really likes it. The 2010 model is somewhat better in that it has Trek's latest suspension design, but for £899 the 6.5 is an absolute bargain IMHO.
Just budget for some new tyres.0
