Amstel Gold
Some friends of mine are doing the Amstel Gold sportive and then watching the pro race the next day. Unfortunately I tried to register but it sold out in about half an hour so I failed to get a place. Does anyone see a problem with just riding the route on the same day and meeting up? As it's on public roads which aren't closed for the event, presumably they can't stop you. Just wondered if anyone else has done this?
I'm not generally into sportives, but like the idea of riding the same route and seeing a bit of the proper action as well. Just wanted to check before I start planning to book flights and take my bike over etc...
