Can anybody advise on sizing. I'm 178 cm and 70 kgs should I be wearing the M or the L? I have long legs so the M may be too short but would the L be too big? I wear M in Assos Uno and PI pro, the Assos are on the short side. The Santini slice are unisex so come in a large range of sizes so L may not be as big as an L in other brands.

I would head over to Prendas to check their sizing charts for Santini shorts - they are spot on for me.

I've got a Santini top and the sizes are very small - I can just about get in their XXL (I'm usually XL).

Santini tends to be on the small side, so general rule of thumb is to get a size up from normal. The leg-length of the bib-shorts however tends to be a little longer as compared to Endura and possibly others.

If you're buying from Prendas, there's no problem if you need to change them.

I'm 186cm and 70kg, Santini L is spot on for me. I suspect, given you're a few cm shorter, that the M might be a better bet. (The bib on mine isn't super snug, it simply fits comfortably well). As ever, fire off an email or call prendas, they're extremely helpful regarding sizing issues.

The guys at Prendas told me that your waist size is NOT the most important measurement to consider when buying bibs, as the waist section is incredibly stretchy. What is more important is your height or leg length, as these will differ considerably from size to size.

I can personally agree with this. I have a 33" waist and have Santini bibshorts in both L and XL. There is virtually no difference in the fit at the waist but the leg length of the L is about an inch shorter than the XL pair.

The bibs are sized off height, not waist size. You're the same height as me, and I prefer the L shorts, although I chose the M jersey because it was very snug. (our whole team rode Santini last year, as we got a custom order made. Everyone liked the shorts!)
