Going to have a wander over to the Wyre Forest from my Wolverhampton base on Wednesday, but never ridden there, I've found links for the blue and green runs, but does anyone have any info on any more challenging stuff or unnofficial trails? be it in the for of maps, directions links, anything. Any info would be most gratefully recieved thankyou

    Gazderry...

I live next door to the Wyre ......but I'm not around on Wednesday....otherwise I would be more than happy to show you around....

The coloured runs are a waste of time if you looking for some decent riding..... there are few bits kinda linked to them, if you know where they are...

Is that the only day you are riding there ?

Cheers Mounty, it probably wont be the only day we ride there, but nothing concrete planned as yet for the future, I thought the coloured runs might be a bit pants, but there just seems to be no real routes available on the net. I'm more than happy to have a thrash round and investigate, just also nice to get some pointers in the right direction. Ill definately pop it up on here when we head over there again

No worries. I can often ride during the week, with a bit of notice and planning....

There are some good trails, fairly easy to find as there are quite a lot that branch off from most of the fireroads, just keep an eye for tread marks! :D

The hard bit is usually connecting them all together get a good ride/loop in....the good stuff is over the other side, well away from the visitor centre etc.

Two trails, the camber and three bears, opposite each other are very good to ride and one my favs is the caravan run, (assuming people know where these are) which runs over by the little lakes caravan park...a good fast one which is pretty decent in lenght and the fun factor...

Nearly all of the trails eventually lead back on to a fireroad, which will give you an idea of where you are etc....

There is a mile climb on the fireroad which heads over towards button oak road, sign posted 'Kinlet MTB Area'......follow that unitl you get to the road, blocked by a metal gate, turn left before the gate and just keep following that trail....its a nice long one

There is almost nothing available on the net, which is probably a good thing!

Cheers for all your help Mounty, we went up and had a nice day riding, very muddy. Think we found the three bears and found the north kinlet side but in the main had a steady day riding and exploring, and cased it out for next time lol
