Get measured. It's worth every penny of the outlay.

Test ride the bike for more than an hour.

Think about it:you are going to spend hundreds of hours touring on that machine; you have to know that you are going to be comfortable (or at least as comfortable as you can be when climbing up a steep hill with 4 panniers and a bar bag in the rain, in the dark, after 7 hours on the road already, looking for the campsite that the sign indicated would be 2km out of town.)

(Scenario based on personal experience and yes, the bike was the least of my worries, because it fitted!)

    Fast and Bulbous
    Peregrinations
    Eddingtons: 80 (Metric); 60 (Imperial)

  • I have a Super Galaxy, 57cm. I'm 6'1" if this helps.

Very comfy bike (provided you change the saddle).
