Do i need to change inners

My spech has 26x2 tyres on the rear and 26x2.2 on the front both with 26x1.5/2.2 inners. I want to fit fat boy atb slicks on they are 26x1.25. The question is can i get away with the same inners or do i have to fit 26x1.2/1.5 inners. Cheers D

When I went from 1.95 tubes in 1.5 slicks down to Tioga CitySlicks on 1" with 1.95 tube I burst several and had to go down to 1" tubes but when I did the same recently I got away with standard sized tubes :?I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
