Hi,
I would like to start competing in races around London, however, I don't even know where to start looking for events. Please can you refer me to some sites where i can find out about future races.
Many thanks.

Depends on where you live really. Just turn up on the day and race 4th cats using a day licence.0 -
Go to the British cycling website, then find the road calendar and select your region. It will then show you all the years races in your area. You need to look for races open to 4th category riders.0

What racing do you want to do, road racing or time trials or both.
Suggestions above are for road racing, time trials can be found at the CTT website.

Find a local club, they'll be able to give you advice whilst actually riding your bike and help you to prepare properlly as well as pass on the info.0

This is a good site: londoncyclesport.com0 -
Main problem with that is that London is not a region as far as British Cycling is concerned, races in or near London can be in Central, Eastern, South East or South regions.
I agree.
The BCF website is great with all the races on with all the infomation needed. However finding the location of the race can take a long period of time.
It would be a fantastic website if BCF displayed "ALL" the races on a google map per week, so we could discover where our local races are.0 -
londoncyclesport is a great website and has a good calendar of events, also the british cycling website has a calendar you can use to search out all the road events in the central area.Inverse Racing UK / Bikefood
