Have a read of your brakes manual. You don't really need to refill per se, more bleed (although new fluid every couple of years is a good idea).0

none of my brakes use mineral oil...
i have two sets of brakes..
hope minis - have been bled twice in their life. Once when I did a full service on the calipers and levers (new seals etc) and the second time when I had to strip them off the bike and put them back on (hose went through the frame, so had to disconnect.)
Hayes 9's
I have bled these once (just at the weekend there) and have had them since 2006.
I bleed mine when the lever feels spongy or pulls right back to the bars.Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

1. Check your brakes need Mineral oil, not Dot oil.
2. As cee says, only bleed when lever is spongy or pulls back to the bars.jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.

The booklet I have is rather poor and unimformative tbh because it still has the old style V brake captions and nothing about the Disc brakes or how to bleed etc etc ..
Funnily enough the booket is dated 2007 3yr out of date0
