I trackstand, then if I lose my balence, I'll put my left foot down. I'm normally pretty good at trackstands, but get's tricky when you have to look up and down the road to see if it's still clear...

I can actually trackstand no handed if the hill is the right incline. Now that gets some looks, until I fall off!

I've found it annoys roadies when I trackstand on my road bike 8) Gotta be quick at unclipping / correct gear selected (so I can ride off in a hurry) if I start to fall though! Stoopid SPD's

Standing usually, but only for short periods!

I always makes sure I am in a good middle gear so can power wheelie away from the lights.
