I am thinking of upgrading my2009 FP3 to the new Dogma, assuming I can get hold of one.

My current FP3 has Chorus 11 on it.

Is it better to sell it as a complete bike or better to strip the groupset off and sell that sperately.

Does anyone know what the Frame/complete bike would be worth?

I was thinking/hoping the complete bike would be worth £1,600 to £1,800 on the basis that a centaur FP3 recently sold on ebay for £1650.

Any advice gratefully received!

I reckon you'd get more selling it as frame and parts - it's easier to get decent money for the individual bits than it is for the whole!

I used to play with Jap turbo cars and found out very quickly that a car was often worth less as a whole than it was worth for it's component parts :)

I thought as much!! Just a pain to split it up!

There'd be nothing wrong with putting the 11sp Chorus on a Dogma frame of course! Might save you the best part of a grand...

Depends what size it is - if it's a 56, probably only worth £20 and I'll take it off your hands.:lol:
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

    I would split it!
Colnago C60 SRAM eTap, Colnago C40, Milani 107E, BMC Pro Machine, Trek Madone, Viner Gladius,
    Bizango 29er
  • Selling the fp3 frame on it's own will get you the best result. Selling the group as parts does better than as a group.

I would keep the chorus group and put some cash into a talon handlebar.
